Lesson Planning – Part 1 – Why do we plan lessons?

This is the first video of our Lesson Planning series.

The first episode answers why we should plan our lessons as a teacher in the first place. Firstly, it creates a logical sequence for the lesson. Secondly, a lesson plan is a working document and a useful guide for the teacher to follow during the lesson. Thirdly, it creates a record of what has been taught that can be referred to later on. Lastly, a lesson plan can also be used for someone to cover your lesson in case you cannot hold it.
