What are some interesting places to see in the Kathmandu Valley?

The Kathmandu Valley is known as the most developed and populated part of Nepal where you will find many of the country’s most popular tourist attractions, including the capital city Kathmandu. Within the valley there are countless temples, palaces and monuments to explore, including no less than seven UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Although the city of Kathmandu is the primary base for most visitors to the region you should also check out the two other main cities in the valley, Patan and Bhaktapur, which are home to a wide range of religious and cultural treasures. However, it is not all about culture, after dark the city of Kathmandu comes alive with all manner of nightlife to entertain the weary traveler.
